The Washington Urban Debate League is very excited to announce that we will be hiring at least one additional full time staff member in Spring 2019!
Over the last four years, the WUDL has been the sole labor of Program Director David Trigaux (me), our Board, and a host of excellent volunteers. As we've grown from a small non-profit serving 100+ students at 7 schools to working with 500 students from 40+ schools in multiple counties, our needs have changed, and the organization needs to grow to continue to sufficiently support our partner schools and students.

Director of Development:
This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the WUDL has the resources necessary to fulfill its mission. This will include grant writing, managing our individual giving program and major donor relationships, and an array of other duties. An appreciation of the league's mission and familiarity with the education sector is appreciated, but a background in competitive debate isn't.
This individual will primarily work with WUDL coaches and students to expand our programmatic capacity, visiting schools, managing tournaments, and developing curricular tools for the league. The Program Assistant will also support our volunteer program and other related tasks.
Both positions will be remote, with the program assistant spending much of their time visiting schools and other stake holders across the region.
